Is Synapse free?

Yes, free while in beta for course groups. There is no trial period or credit card required to start.

Who can see the notes my course group writes?

Only the members of that workspace. Notes are never visible across workspaces, and we never use your notes to train a model.

Are AI-generated flashcards and quizzes shared with my group?

No. Study material generated from shared notes — flashcards, quizzes, summaries, chat answers — is private to the person who generated it, even though the source notes are shared.

Can the AI make things up that aren’t in our notes?

Generation is grounded in your notes: every answer and every generated card cites the note it came from, and if the notes don’t cover something, Synapse says so rather than guessing.

Do I need my course group to sign up for this to be useful?

You get the most out of it writing notes together, but nothing stops you starting solo and inviting your group once you’ve tried it.

How do I delete my account or data?
